Ugh..sorry, but Jayden is such a tired trend to me, it started with the boys and now is a popular name for the girls. I haven't really liked that name from the start...
Well it sounds like nobody else likes it..but I do. I love it actually. Everyone says it's too trendy, but if trendy names are what you like, then who cares. I myself like trendy names, and Jayden is one of them. But I prefer to spell it Jadyn. Good luck.
Sorry, it's nmsaa.
1) Way too masculine for a girl
2) Way too popular with both sexes at the moment
3) Way too trendy to try to make it more feminine by changing the spelling
If you just love the name, maybe save it for a boy a few years down the road once it's not so popular? Just a thought!
Also, I have seen Jade and Jada mentioned quite often as feminine alternatives. Perhaps one of those would appeal to you? HTH!

I think it is INCREDIBLY trendy right now. See my post here for more info: http://messageboards.ivillage.com/n/mb/message.asp?webtag=iv-ppbabyname&msg=38379.1&ctx=0
I do like Jade and Jada as alternatives. Also Janelle, which is pretty and FAR less common..

Using boys' names for girls is NMS. I don't even like Jayden/Jaden for a boy though because of that Jaden/Braden/Caden/Aiden trend.
I do like Jade and Jayda/Jada for a girl though.
