My DH's middle name is James after his Dad - this baby will be our last and if we have another girl I would some how still like to name her after her daddy and grand father so I was wondering if you think I could get away with using James as one of her middle names but making it look a bit more girly spelling it Jaymz -

she will have 2 middle names like her sister - first middle name will be FOR SURE Jorja after my Dad George. firstname Jorja Jaymz lastname what do you think?

yah or nay???

It was a thought but Im not certain if I would do it or not i just wanted suggestions!

Mommy to Bre 2/01 and Teagan 7/16

I think the middle name James is totally cute, even for a girl. I don't really like Jaymz, but James is cute.

I don't understand why misspelling a name would honur some one?

There is a femine version of James and it is Jamesina and Jorja Jamesina sounds and look better then misspelled Jaymz.

Please do not spell her middle name Jaymz, it doesn't look pretty or feminine at all. Honestly, I see no problem naming her Georgia Jaime or even Georgia James. My cousin was give the middle name John after her father.

ETA that I do like the Jorga spelling, but since she is being named after a George, I like the Georgia spelling better here.

I know that a lot of the posters said they didnt like how you spelled the names differently, but I think its awesome. I think you are still honoring them by keeping the names even if you are spelling them differently, I dont agree with the other posters on that at all. I love Jorja Jaymz and who is going to know that they are named after family but you and your family. So who cares. It's a beautiful meaningful name to YOU and thats what matters so go for it!!!!!!!

I don't mind James as a mn for a girl but I would keep the original spelling. Jaymz is a little over the top and there really isn't any reason you can't spell it James.

I'm sorry but I think those are awful-- I work for the juvenile division of the public defender's office ( if your 4 year old robs a bank, our firm represents him for free in juvenile court.)
and I must tell you that a name like that sounds liek one of our clients! if its a name you love and its yoru dreamp go for it, but i will tell you that 80% of the kids that come through our office have outrageous speelings or completly mad eup names- we joke that they are driven to become felons because the names ther parents gave them drove them to it!!!!
Why not go with Jaymes Georgia fillintheblank Smith ?
I agree James might be a bit much, but hey what is wrong with James for a girl? Jaymes does feminize it, i agree. you could call her jamie as a nickname if you wanted. remmeber helen hunt from mad about you? her name on the show was jamie and he husband called her james as a nn and it was adorable! :)

If you want to honor relatives go with the same spellings Jaymz and jorga is way too much
