I am searching for a name that starts with the letter "B" for our baby girl and just came across the name Brissa. I have a few "B" names on my list already that are descent but I only just like them. What do you all think of Brissa (pronounced with a short "i" like in Melissa?

Thanks!

Sorry. Although it looks and sounds girly and feminine, I can't help but think of a Jewish Briss (sp?) ... not a flattering correlation for a little girl.

To be honest, I don't like the sound of it. Sorry.

The more I think about the name, the less I like it...and as a previous poster pointed out, it makes me think of the word Bris (Jewish circumcision ritual), which I should have thought of earlier since I am Jewish!!! lol!

Thanks anyway, tho!

Hi Mona,

I don't like the name at all but it can be the jump to other names around that style.
BTW, Brissa in Spanish means Wind. How about the following "B" names:

Barbara
Blair
Brooke*
Brielle*
Bryanna
Bryn
Bree
Beatrice*
Beverly*
Breanna
Bambi
Brenda
Brenna
Belinda*
Bronwyn*
Bethany
Bianca*
Blythe*

The asterisk names are my favs.

Good Luck,
Jai
