Here are some "-den" names for girls that are less likely to get a thousand people rolling their eyes and telling you that they hate JaydenKadenBraydenHayden:
Sheridan Linden Alden Eden Jordan
Incidentally, I think Linden is the best new thing no one's doing yet. I realize it's supposedly a "boys name," but that's just the silliest little distinction. It's a type of tree. It's as feminine as Willow is (and that recent thread proved *just how feminine Willow is*, right?) so I don't see any reason to avoid it. It has a "lyn" sound in it and a "den" sound in it. It's a nature name but not overtly so. It's pretty. I like it. And it's an old name with roots. (Pun bad. But so hard to resist.)
I have to agree with the pps ... it's a bad spelling of a trendy masculine name. It was nice of olive to list some other -dan/-den ending names ... I think Sheridan, Linden and Eden are especially nice and feminine. Another one similar to Linden in sound would be Liadan. HTH! ;)
Ooh, Cadence is a good suggestion for a feminine alternative! My brother is a "musician," for lack of a better term LOL, and he'd use this name if it worked with his ln (unfortunately, it doesn't).
I absolutely love the name Cadence for a girl. To be honest, I am due in a few months and I am fighting to name my son Caiden..(still open on the spelling). I do think that Kayden with a "K" is good for girls. But as I said, I think Cadence is a beautiful alternative to Kadyn. Good Luck!
I love the name Caden for a boy. I'm just not sure for a girl. Although if you do go with it, I think the Y adds a feminine touch..I think adding a Y to any name adds a feminine touch. I also love the name Cadence that somebody suggested. It's one of the names I want for if I have a girl. But even though I think Caden is a boy name..it's not that bad for a girl. So if you love it, go with it!
