This is one of my (secret) favorites of the "trendy" girl names!

Laken, huh? Interesting name.

I chose boy. Then -ken sound struck me as masculine. Even the image of a lake seemed more masculine than feminine to me.

In one baby name book that I bought a few years ago, the author wrote that once a name becomes a unisex name, it isn't much longer until it is just a girl name and is no longer used for boys.

I think that Laken is a girls name...it sounds feminine to me. A similar name for a boy is Lochlan, nn Lock(e).

If anybody has any middle name ideas, that would be very helpful too. Thank you!

I couldn't vote, because I think Laken works for both boys & girls. Great name.
