Landon for a girl?

Hi. Is Landon another name that is "strictly for boys, not girls"?
I'm due May 12, with a girl, & I have 3 children - Dylan (b), Sean (b), & Bria (g). My dh & I were hoping for a 3rd boy this time (although we are very happy we're having a 2nd girl!) because Landon has been a favorite name of ours for a long time.
I'm 100% sure this will be our last child, & since we love Landon so much, we were curious of everyone's opinion on naming our girl Landon. Please provide any suggestions or thoughts. Thank you very much!

My first thought is that Landon is not for a girl at all. I do think that after the name Bria for your first daughter, that Landon will sound like a boys name, where Bria sounds so girly and cute.
Saying that, I feel for you that you both LOVE the name and want to use it. There is no "rule" that says it can't be a girls name, and if you think it fits, than I say go for it. If you don't use it, you may regret it later. I am curious to see what everyone else thinks.

I agree that this one's pretty masculine, especially next to your other dd's girly name. I have heard of people using the similar name Lindon (a city near me, so I don't actually know any LOL), but maybe that's one you'd like since it's only one letter different and she could always use the feminine nn Lin/Lynn if she wanted. Landon also made me think of Larken. HTH

My husband works with a man who's baby girl is Landon. I personally would spell it more fem like Landyn or something, though. I also know a one year old boy Landon.
Well, I personally don't believe there ARE any names that "strictly" for one gender or another. I really like a lot of gender-bending names.
That said, I'm not a huge fan of Landon on a girl. Not sure why. But if you love, I definitely think you should use it. I really like the suggestion of using it as a middle name. That way her first name could be more feminine to match her sister. (Since Dylan and Sean/Shawn are both names that have a unisex feel to them while Bria is so pretty and feminine, I definitely think that anyone hearing Dylan, Sean, Bria and Landon would assume three boys and a girl. That's not something that would necessarily both me, but if you are concerned about that, I'd shift Landon to the middle name spot.) That way you still get to use the name (and
