I'd love to hear some other opinions on "Lane" as a name for a girl. My hubby loves it & I am debating whether it is too masculine... or too undefined. Any thoughts? Also any middle name ideas that might go with it nicely?

What about spelling it Layne or Laine for a girl?

I like Lane, and I love Laney. It sounds good with Olivia, but I think there are mn that could make it flow better, depending on what your last name is. What about Nicole or Celeste?

Hi there! I happened to be looking through some scrapbooking examples yesterday and came across a page for a little girl named Laine. I think it is very pretty spelled with the I in it but far to masculine spelled 'Lane'.

I really like it! I think it is very cute. I know a little girl with the middle name Lane. I like Lane Olivia, and think that is the perfect choice!

Hi there. I think it's a bit too masculine. Laney or Lainey are cute, but perferably as a nn for something. Perhaps Elaine, Elaina, or Delaney nn Laney/Lainey? That way your dh gets his 'Lane', but it's more girly sounding. Hope this helps!

I had always thought of Lane for a boy and Laynie (or whatever spelling you prefer) for a girl. I love both names, and was thinking of Elayna if this baby was a girl (but its not!) I read the other posts, and it seems that Lane is used for girls, as well as boys, so if its a name you love, I'd stick with it. I think Lane Olivia sounds nice!

I think it's too boyish no matter how it's spelled.
