Hello out there -

I'm thinking of naming my daughter, Larae (pronounced La-Ray)

Has anyone heard this name before or have any feedback about that name?

Thanks!

I've never seen or heard it before. It's not my style, at all, but I like some similar names, such as Laurel, Lauren, Lara, Leila, Lorena, and Danae.

All I can say is that Ray names on little girls don't work for me--smacks too much of my little hometown where the girls who didn't have Lynn or Ann as middle names had Jo or Rae.

Nope. Never heard it before but I like it. I had to say it to myself a few times and I do like the name... Where I am from, Rae spelling with the E at the end isn't uncommon. It's used as a middle name. I will have niece with the middle name Rae coming in February! = )

Anyways, I do like the name and it is different, but the good kind.

There was a girl in the neighborhood I grew up in named Karina Larae who was a few years older than me. (I'm 26.) She now owns her own hair salon and calls it Larae's. I think it's a pretty name.
