Large family name question

Hi all,
I'm a mother of 5 children (so far). We have 2 daughters (Charlotte & Bethany) and three sons (James, Joseph, & Noah). James & Joseph are named after grandfathers. Noah is named after a long-ago ancestor *G* but has MIL's maiden name as his middle name. If we're blessed with another boy he will have my mother's maiden name.. but then what? lol. It seems like trends get tricky as you add more children! We do think we'll use Eleanor for another daughter. It is known without being too trendy and is traditional like the girls' names.
Love to hear what other moms of many think about when naming children!

You know, when we started I didn't 'plan' a big family.
We didn't plan a large family either.. and we have a James as well! :) He's the "true middle" of the 5 children. Our first was the failure to plan and I swore I would have NO MORE CHILDREN. I was so tired, it was so much work, blah, blah, blah. hehe. After two we were 'supposed' to stop because nobody in their right mind has more than 2 children, right? Unless of course they have the "oops" baby. Well, ours was a "if it happens, it happens" baby -- what a blessing he is today! Our 4th.. hmm.. I have no idea what we were thinking, but during his pregnancy realized we were turning this over to God. We rejoiced like crazy when we found out about #5 even though #4 hadn't turned 1 yet! :) (Our closest spacing).
I was pushing for Simon for son #3. Jesus's brothers were James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas. I figured we could do James (5), Joseph (almost 2) and a Simon.. but the name Noah won instead. I was thinking of doing Judah instead of Judas.. not sure I could saddle a poor child with the name Judas. Although I've seen many named Jonah and that's not one I'd pick either. (Although it is a catchy lil Veggie Tale movie hehe)

Judah is a fairly popular name at my kids' (Jewish) day school. I think it literally means Jewish. I like it, but didn't want to saddle my kid with a strongly Jewish name.

We have a similar story! We have both adopted and birth children.
We named our firstborn daughter Danielle Christine, which means "God is my Judge" and "Christ-like." #2 is Micah David, which means "Who is like the Lord?" and "Beloved." #3 is Benjamin Mark, which means "Son of my right hand" and "Warrior." #4 was adopted from Russia. Her name is Rachel Nadya Valeria = "Little lamb full of hope and strength." Valeria was her Russian name and it means strength. #5 is Jonathan Gabriel, which means "Gift of God" and "Man of God." #6 was adopted from Russia. Her Russian name was Anastasia and we kept that and added Joy as a middle name, so her name means "Resurrected Joy." #7 was adopted from Russia. His Russian name was Ilya which translates to Elijah. So his name is Elijah Samuel, which means "The Lord is my God" and "God hears." #8 was adopted from Haiti. In a dream, the Lord told us her name was Cherise because the Lord cherished her! Her full name is Cherise Renee which means "Cherished" and "Reborn."
#9 is due 3/11/06. If it's a boy his name will be Reuben James which means "Behold - a son!" and "Conqueror." If it's a girl, her name will be Grace Olivia which means "Grace of God" and "Peace, of the olive tree."

I am the mom of five with another on the way, due October 31st. Guess we are in the minority, because we always talked about having six. We feel blessed we've been able to have the large family we always wanted. We never talked about having any certain patterns when naming our children. We like tradtional names, it just turned out they all have long names with a one syllable nickname, but we do try to have at least the first or middle name be a family name in some way.
Elizabeth Marie (Beth): my mom's middle name is Marie, my grandmother's first name also.
Nicholas Ray (Nick): dh's middle name is Ray, his father's middle name also Ray.
Katherine Leanne (Kate): Katherine variation of Kathleen (my mom)Leanne is my middle name.
James Anthony (Jack): My dad was Donald James. My grandfather was John (Jack). Dh's uncle was Harold (Jack)-not sure how they ever came up with that! Dh's father is Jimmy (not James). Confused yet? LOL. We named ds so his intials are J.A.C. or "Jack" but his legal name is after my dad, and his nn is after his grandfather and great uncle.
Samuel Thomas (Sam): Thomas is dh's brother's middle name and his uncle's first name.
Baby #6 is a girl. We have thought about Alexandra Frances (Allie). Frances was my great aunt's first name, and my aunt's middle name. Lately I have been having second thoughts. I like Abigail, Audrey, and a few others. Just not sure yet.
We always wanted 6 in our family too! God gave us 6 and now we are due to have #7 in February. (This was a suprise as I was on the patch - I figure He knows what He is doing!)
Our children are Charles (13), Carol (8), Ruth (6), Ben (4), J.C. - stands for James Carl (3) and Jacob (1).
We are thinking of naming this child (we believe it is a girl from my symptoms compared to previous pregnancies) Emily Danielle.
Please give me your thought on this name and variations of spelling!
Appreciate any input!
Thanks,
Susan
