Logan for a girl?

What do you all think of Logan for a girl? I'm not opposed to unisex names.

Also, I'm concerned that even though it may not be common for a girl...I may still run into the same problem with a common name because it seems to be popular with boys.

Most Logans are boys, but Logan does seem to be starting to go to the girls. It fits into two overlapping trends: boys' names for girls, and surnames. Personally, I'm so tired of boys' names for girls that Logan does nothing for me. But there's nothing wrong with the name Logan, and with all the little girl Evans/Evyns, Emersons/Emersyns, Elliotts, and so on, a little girl Logan will not really stand out among the other kids, the way she would have done in a previous generation!

Yeah, it's pretty common for boys. It wouldn't be unique just because it was on a girl.

I used to really like boy names for girls, but then I started wondering what's going to happen in this new unisex generation when they grow up and start dating and all have the same names--can girl Logan and boy Logan be a couple? Or Reily and Reileigh? Payton and Peyton? Might be a completely ridiculous thought, but it will eventually be something that these kids have to deal with... :)

hello!! well, i dont like it for a girl. i only like it for a boy-i think its one of those names that "crossed over" that shouldnt have. that being said-i wouldnt use it for a boy right now either-cuz its uber-popular. i know of 3 right off the top of my head. its right up there with tyler, joshua and jacob in terms of popularity. just my opinion...

I'm not usually a fan of unisex names, but Logan is SO CUTE for a girl, to me. LOL, I don't know what it is, I just really like it (though I wouldn't use it myself).

Honestly, Logan isn't TOO common, I don't think that would be a big problem. I think Logan for a girl is fine, it sounds girl enough to me. I like unisex names but I don't like STRICT boy names being used as girls names (I once met a girl named Micheal, WTH?) Anyways, I think Logan is one of those names that can go either way, even if it commonly doesn't.

I have a boy named Logan so it's hard for me to see it as a girls name. My husband always liked it because he thought it was so manly. I like Unisex names too. I have a daughter Taylor and a son Mason (which I have also heard a celebrity with a Mason who is a girl). I think it's up to you how you see the name. Right now I think boys have the majority on the name but maybe that will make her unique!!
