Looking for a boy's name
| Sun, 08-28-2005 - 1:30pm |
Baby #3 is due in early March and the search for names is on. And it is alot harder this time! DD is Skyler May and DS is Connor Patrick. We had names picked out w/both of those pregnancies before we conceived. This one is a bit of a surprise...we were going to be done after two.
Probable girl's name is Mia Katherine.
Let's see...we're not into most super-popular names. I'm a teacher so I see them over and over. I don't really care for the current trend toward old lady/old man names. They're great for other people but not for me. Right now we're just throwing names around and seeing if anything jumps out at us.
Names we're considering or have considered:
Colton
Owen
Zachary (was our pick for dd had she been male)
Mason
Nicholas

Boy Names:
Hi there, Tracy. Congratulations on #3! Your kids are so cute. I like Skyler & Connor too. They're reconizable, but not super common. Good names to have. Here are my thoughts on #3-
Mia Katherine is absolutly gorgous. I can't say enough about how perfect it is, I'm not even going to bother suggesting anything for you. It's a great choice!
Boys...
Colton-I'm not a huge fan of this one. There's no real reason; I think it just reminds me of cold-cuts or something.
Owen-I like this a lot. It's pretty nice w/Skyler & Connor too. Great choice.
Zachary (was our pick for dd had she been male)-I love Zachary. Very handsome, & Zac is a slick sounding nn.
Mason-Ooh, also cute. This seems to fit in really nicely w/the style of your kids' names.
Nicholas-I love this one. It's rather popular though. That, & Nick just turns me off. I love Nicholas, but not Nick at all. Nicholas nn Cole would be neat.
Since this is very likely to be your last baby, a name ending in R might be nice. Perhaps...
Dexter
Parker
Ryder
Trevor
I really love Parker for you. What do you think? Hope this helps. :)
Thanks for your feedback!
The more we think about Mia Katherine the more we like it.
On your suggestions for ending with an R...and this will be the last baby...lol:
Dexter - my basset hound is Baxter which is a little too close for me
Parker - the son of a good friend of mine and I see the whole family often
Ryder - I like this one, but dh already nixed it
Trevor - this could be a possible.
Thanks again.
I'm glad to see that I'm not the only person who doesn't like this "old-lady, old-man" names trend as you put it
I'm not particularly even into the traditional classics let alone the "old" stuff
I like Colton the best of your list, but you'd have two Cs and one S. I know several families like that, so I guess it's not that big of a deal
I really like Zachary a lot too.
good luck
