I'm looking for a good middle name for our soon-to-be daughter Maiya Johnson. We thought of Elizabeth but it was a bit long... any suggestions?? :) Jenn

I assume Maiya is pronounced like Maya -- my-uh. Or is it may-uh?

Some middle names that I think go well...
Maiya Grace Johnson
Maiya Faith Johnson
Maiya Kate Johnson
Maiya Elise Johnson
Maiya Renee Johnson
Maiya Beth Johnson

Good luck making a decision!

I forgot to tell everyone that the name Maiya is pronounced like "maya".. :) We just thought it would be a pretty/different way of spelling "maya" :) Jenn

Right now you have mushed both spelling together why not take the Swedish spelling of Maya instead, it is pronounced the same and it will be easy to spell Maja and it looks more diffrent then Maiya.

Maja Elisabeth looks great and a shorter name aften needs a longer middle name.

thank you for the tip :) The name spelt "maiya" is more derived from my japanese heritage.. here in Md, i think they would spell her name as "maja" as its written & not realize that the "J" is meant as a "y". I do like the Elizabeth and do agree with you that a short first name should follow with a long middle one... :) Jenn

For me as a Swede pronunciation of Maiya is different to Maja or Maia or Maya. I Have here in Sweden seen kids with name Meja or Meya.

My daughter will have Elisabeth as a middle name I promised my mother in law this.

I think Maiya Elizabeth Johnson is just fine. If it still bothers you, what about using some of the nn's from Elizabeth? Maiya Beth Johnson works nicely.

Good luck!

My neice lives in Arizona and her name is Maiya but it is spelled Myah. Her middle name is Brooke. Some other ideas are Maiya Haylee Johnson, Maiya Celeste Johnson, or Maiya Isabelle Johnson. Good Luck
