Looking for opinions on girls names

We're still at the beginning stages of girls names, but I thought I'd try some out and get some feedback. DD is Kaya Elizabeth (6) and last name is Spanish, beginning Ch. I have a thing for girls names ending in "a" - they just sound lyrical to me. Prefer not to have any unisex names or really common names (I was one of a hundred Katies growing up and that did it for me!). :) And middle name has to be a family name. Our favorite name is Amaya, but as it rhymes with Kaya, we've had to let it go. So, here are some other ones we're considering - whatcha think?

• Amara Catharine – (Catharine is a combination of MIL and me – she spells Catherine and I’m spelled Katharine)
• Lucia Carmen – (Carmen is DH’s grandmother and I love it. Would consider it for first name but doesn’t end it “a”)
• Sayra - this is front runner so far for DH and I do really like it (haven’t determined mn for this one yet, possibly Catharine)
• Kegley – this is DH family name and I love it. Don’t know about it as a fn though?
• Zara – love this name, though in Spain (where hubby is from and family still is) it is a hugley popular retail store
• Esma – diminutive of the Spanish Esmerelda, meaning emerald. Baby will be born in May, birthstone emerald. Kinda cute.
• Nola – we’re from New Orleans (though no longer living there), so this has made the list. DH can’t decide if he likes it enough for a child or maybe just for a future pet. :)

Just wanted to say thanks for all the feedback - I appreciate all of your suggestions! DH and I are going to mull them all over until we know the gender -next month. Then I'll probably need more help!

I love Amara! I think it would go perfectly with Kaya! :-) What lovely and unique sisters they sound like! I also like Esma. :-D

Amara and Esma are my top two choices from your list, I don't think you could go wrong with either... and if I'm not mistaken, I believe the name Amara means "lovely forever"... :-)

you list some great names, and love how you think/feel about names.
for the one *possibily good for a pet* i'd stear clear of that for a child, for sure! keep it for a pet! ;)

Amaya would be great mn if you love it so much.
for Carmen, possibly Carmina/Carmena/Carmelia.
Sayra is lovely! so is Esma!
