We are really stuck on boy names. I want Aidan, but DH wants Ivan. He's adament about it. I'm just not sure about it....it's different, as I don't know any Ivan's but it just doesn't sound like it fits a little baby boy. What are your thoughts? BTW, the MN is set to be Lee, after DH and his dad. Yor 2 cents would be greatly appreciated. Oh and my 2 DD's are Ashley and Abby. TIA!

Just a thought...
This name recently popped up in conversation (even though I am having a girl). A name "IVAN" came up on the caller id. Well, in spanish, Ivan is pronounced "EEVON"... my DH laughed when I said "Who is EEVON?"... he said, "It is Ivan" and I said, "not where I come from"...
It was actually a topic of conversation... people with accents will call him EEVON not Ivan. My DH thinks the way I say it sounds like Yvonne and it does but it is what I am used to.
I LOVE Aiden... if I was having a DS, I would name him that :)
Good Luck!

ACK! We just had a major hurricane here last September and his name was -- you guessed it! -- Hurricane Ivan. I couldn't do it!!

Ilove Aiden Lee, i think it sounds wonderful!
I'm not a fan of Ivan, I don't think it fits a child and its ugly on a man anyway

Don't like Ivan.
Ivan is pretty outdated in my opinion - I think of men in about their 60s or 70s with that name and Ivan Lee sounds terrible together. I hope you win out on Aiden.
good luck
I prefer Ivan to Aidan in this case mostly because Aidan is too close to Abby & Ashley. Aidan, while very appealing, is also extremely popular. Ivan is nice, strong, & classic.
One possible compromise would be --- Ian.
Good luck, Ginger
Ivan is most definately a boys name. Although I like the name Ivan it does immediately remind me of Ivan the Terrible-first Czar of Russia. Your hubby may not want to use it after reading a biography of the Czar. OTOH, as a Texas Rangers fan it also reminds me of a certain famous catcher nicknamed "Pudge".

Aiden also goes better with your two little girl's names.
