I LOVE the name Alice, but I do think it runs together with your last name; people would most likely hear/say Allie Sawyer. If the Steve/Eve thing bothers you, you could use Evelyn or Eva.

I agree with PPs - Alice and Eve are both great names but I'm not sure they work for you.

I'm not sure why I didn't put this in my post before, but you could use Alicia instead of Alice, as well as Evelyn or Eva instead of Eve.

A big thank you to everyone who responded to my post and provided alternative ideas. :-)

I have a friend Brian who named his daughter Ryan. They share the same birthday, so it's kinda cute...

I do agree with PPs, though, that if you are uncomfortable with the Steve/Eve thing that there are many names you could use to get the nn Eve. Evelyn is a frontrunner for our baby's mn.

Good luck,
Kimberly

I definitely think Alice Sawyer runs together - you could Allison Sawyer and that would separate it somewhat

Alice is also so outdated. Allison is much fresher, but it's kind of past it's trend of the 90s, but you still here it. it's a good name.

Eve Sawyer sounds OK together - the Eve/Steve thing, ah, probably not that big a problem

I love both of the names you have chosen.

1. I think Alice Sawyer sounds nice however, it runs together a bit if that bothers you.
2. Personally, I'd assume that your daughter was named after your husband if they had rhyming names but that's just me.
3. Violet, Camilla, Nina, Audrey, Clara, Eden or Molly would all sound nice with your last name.

I hope that helps!
