My dh and I were discussing girl names. I usually get irritated with him because he doesn't like anything bold. His faves are Kathryn, Caitlin, and Brianna. Those are nice names but way to popular and boring/bland for me. I kept asking him if there was anything else he liked (something more unique or exciting). Then out of nowhere he says Quincy. I said that's a boy name. He said that he thought Quincy could become a girl name due to the feminine sound of the c and y in Quincy. I agreed with the trend of unisex names that seems to be happening. Then he repeated the name Quincy and said that he really liked it. A few more times repeating it and he now has a new fave. He tried to find a nice middle name for Quincy. I suggested something like Elizabeth that was obviously feminine to contrast with the unisex Quincy. He didn't like that idea. So after a few random pairings he came up with Quincy Raine and is stuck on the idea. So, that is the story behind Quincy Raine. It is intended for a girl. Now that you know the story, what are your thoughts on the name? Do you think Quincy is ok if paired with a more common/feminine middle name like Elizabeth? Do you not like Quincy at all for a girl? What are your opinions and reactions?

An immaculate house is a sign of a misspent life.
Your children may not remember everything you said, but they will always remember how you made them FEEL.
We have a 10 year old girl Quincy in our neighborhood.
