I don't run into a whole lot of little kids, so I am wondering how many MACKENZIE's do you all know? Girls or boys? Ages?

Thanks :)

None. Not even one. Of course the only kids I know are those I'm related to. DS Christopher is starting school this year! :) Ask me again in 6months.

Well, I'm a dance teacher so I know A LOT! Currently at the studio there are 7. 1 McKenzy, 3 Mackenzies, 1 MacKinzey, 1 McKenzie, and 1 Mikensee. The ages range from 4 to about 8 yrs old.

I also have a neighbor with a 2 yr old Mackenzie, and a friend whose nephew is McKensey (after mom's maiden name) and he is about 10 months.

I know Mackenzies and Kinseys and Kinzies and...well..you get the idea. All girls. IMHO I think the name has reached "Madison"-level saturation and unless you are doing it to honor someone, I'd look for something else.

JUST mho.

I probably "personally" know four or five, elementary-school aged up to early teens.

but, the thing is, I run into a lot of kids because of some stuff that I am involved in, and there are quite a lot - not nearly as heavy as Madison or Hailey, plus, it seems to have bottomed out. I haven't been hearing it on babies in the last 2-3 years very much if at all.

I'd say if you like it, use it. I love it. but definitely just for girls. I don't know any boys named Mackenzie and have never come across one.

good luck.

Only one - my cousin's daughter (she's about four) spelled Mackenzie. Her nn is Kiki (that's what her older sister started calling her and it just stuck.

I don't have any children yet, though - so I only know a couple dozen kids all together. :)

I vaguely knew someone named Mackenzie--she went to the same H.S. as me, and I was in the same grade as her older sister. I really had no association w/her whatsoever, I just knew that the girl in my grade had a younger sister at the school named Mackenzie. She was probably about 15 at the time, and now she must be in her early 20s.

I don't really like the name for a girl...it seems more like a last name to me, and I've never been a fan of the Mc/Mac names.

best of luck to you!
