I would pick a longer first name, what about:

Samantha Mae
Alexis Mae (or Alexandra)
Katherine Mae
Savannah Mae
Natalie Mae

Just some ideas. If you like Ella, you could try Isabella, and if you like Emma you could try Emily.

I like all of your choices, although I prefer Mya spelt Maya. I wouldn't go with Mya/maya though with Mae. I just think they are too similar. My favourite is Ella Mae. I love that name, its so pretty. But maybe using Ella as a nn and a longer, more sophisticated name for the full name- Elena/Elaina, Eleanor, Eloise, Elizabeth, Elina, Elise, etc. My favourite is Elena Mae nn Ella. Its beautiful. I don't like how Emma Mae flows, so I wouldn't go with that one either. With the double "m"'s in Emma and Mae starting with an "m", its just too much. Why don't you create a poll with all your choices to see which one comes out on top? Have you considered Kyla Mae or Layla/Leila Mae?

We knew we wanted to use May as my 2nd DD's mn (it was my grandmother's mn), and we named her Julianna, nn Annie.

Some other names we considered:
Katherine (nn Kate/Katie)
Erin
Eliza (or Elizabeth)
Amelia (nn Mia)
Josephine (nn Josie)
Ava
Evelyn (nn Eve/Evie)
Carolyn/Caroline (nn Cara/Carrie)
Charlotte

FWIW, my grandmother's name was Beatrice May.

Of your choies, I like Ella and Ava the best. Mya and Emma are a bit too M-heavy with Mae, IMO, and Laken is just not my style.

Good luck making a decision!

2. Laken Mae This is more uncommon than the others, I really like it with Mae.

3. Emma Mae

4. Mya Mae

5. Ella Mae

Ella Mae - Too close to Ellie Mae of the Beverly Hillbillies
Mya Mae - Too much with the double Ms
Ava Mae - Not bad, but a really short name
Laken Mae - Not bad
Emma Mae - too much with the Ms

I suggest a longer, more sophistated first name to go with the middle name Mae.

Kathryn Mae
Caroline Mae
Carolyn Mae
Alexandra Mae
Elizabeth Mae
Abigail Mae
Christina Mae
Elena Mae
Joanna Mae
Leanna Mae
Nicolette Mae
Patricia Mae
Rebecca Mae

Good Luck!

How about a longer first name to go with such a short, sweet MN.

Elizabeth Mae
Caroline Mae

I like the old-fashioned sounding names with Mae. Of your choices I like Ella Mae the best.

Good Luck

I like Laken Mae or Ava Mae. I think there are too many Ms in Emma Mae and Ella Mae reminds me of that book I read "Ella Minnow Pea." ;)
