Magic Eraser Burns - PLEASE READ

Hi everyone - I wanted to make you aware of this for those moms to be - especially if you have kids already.

I saw the urban legends too, but my friend's son had red like burns on his face.

This particular email or story may be a legend, but I can personally attest to the fact that Magic Erasers can burn the skin. Not by simply touching it, but if there is any scrubbing/rubbing of the eraser on the skin, it WILL cause abrasions that look and feel like burns. Long story short, we tried to use one to get spray paint off of DH's skin. It didn't work, but of all the things we tried, the Magic Eraser was the only one that left marks, and actually hurt him. He STILL complains about that to this day, and he's a rough & tough Army-type, lol ;) If the kid rubbed it on his face, it's likely it left a painful mark (kids's faces are pretty sensitive).
I'm a Snopes fanatic, btw, I run every email I get through there, lol ;)
magic erasers are abrasive. its like a really fine sandpaper. if you rub your skin with the eraser you essentially are scraping off a layer of skin. of course it will hurt and look like a burn. its not chemical though. more like a just a rug burn.
