Okay,
Our baby girl will be here in less than 5 weeks!! (scheduled c-section). My husband and I love classic names, but try to stay away from trendy names as well as several of the top 10 names are classics. What do you think of these? Siblings are charlotte and vincent
Amelia Rose
Marian ____
I like amelia a lot, but I keep thinking of Amelia Bedelia and the whole "meal" sound... Maybe I'm picking this apart too much. Amelia was my husband's great grandmother and my Marian was actually my great grandmother (neither of us knew either of them, so it isn't a matter of whose relative to name them after, we just liked the names.) We want a classic, beautiful, and solid name that grows well from a little girl to a woman. Any other suggestions are welcome.
TIA
Erin

Amelia Marian would be a lovely name.
I do not care for Marian as a first name.It makes me think of the mother on "Happy Days".Marian worked for her but not for a little girl of today in my opinion.
as a child I could call her Cat/Kat or Katie or even Cassie. I was thinking of
Amelia and then I thought, oh the first time they read that Amelia Bedelia at school
all these kids are going to call her that and she's going to be mad at me. lol.
I like Mary Catherine but the whole mary had a little lamb, mary mary quite contrary..lol. Oh, I just thought of a name for Marian - Marian Grace? Sarah Grace
was my first name choice but daddy doesnt like Grace. I think Grace fits with alot of names. Anyway, hope I was a little helpful.
I'd choose Marian of the two. Amelia is quite steadily rising up the popularity charts, whereas I don't see Marian doing that at all.
***Bingo.
