I think Marlowe/Marlo is nice, but I'd avoid the overly fussy Marlaux. And I have to give a big thumbs-up to the PP's idea of Margot. (Maybe boosted by Nicole Kidman's turn in "Margot at the Wedding.")

I like Marlow. I don't like Marleaux though...not at all. There are lots of pretty M names for girls so I'd say search them all and pick a couple more that feel right and wait until you have her and when you look at her you will just know.

Mallori, Makenzi, Madison, Mia, Megan, Molly, Maria, Maleah, Mandy, Mindy, Macy, Melondy

Hope I helped. xox

I love Marlowe or Marlo, but strongly dislike Marlaux (that spelling just looks made up).

Marlowe = famous writer Christopher Marlowe

Marlo = famous actress Marlo Thomas

I'm not sure how helpful it is if people just say they like it or don't without explaining why.

I like Marlow, but I think that Marlo might look more feminine. I am not a fan of the Marlaux spelling. It is just more complicated, especially next to a brother named Jake. I hope that makes sense.

Hey Thanks for your reply! I appreciate it! And you being kind!:) I just wanted to tell you I love the name Marlow...and I love it spelled just like that...sometimes when names have funny spellings...they tend to get pronounced wrong, which can get frustrating! I have a lot of Irish family...so therefore some have...oddly spelled names, and some get offended. But I love Marlow! How you spell it is your choice, but just wanted to let you know I think its a great choice!!! good luck!!
