What do you think of the girl's name Martina? Would it sound good with my last name, Rask? If you like it, do you have any middle name suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I like it because I like the singer Martina McBride.

HTH!
Hi!
We have just named our 9-month-old daughter Martina. We will pick her up in China hopefully in August. We have had the name chosen for years because it is DH's grandmother's name.
Her American name is Martina Susanne, and we have added her Chinese first name, Xu to it as well, so she is Martina Susanne Xu. Her Chinese first name is only one character; if it were two characters, we would have used both in her second middle name. Susanne is also a family name: Susan + Anne (my sister and my grandmother).
We originally chose Martina Anne, but had reason to honor my sister as well in the last year, and also decided that since Martina ended with an "A", the mn would sound better if it didn't start with the same letter.
Good luck with your decision! It's a beautiful name, and isn't overly popular, yet it's a name people have heard of before. It's also versatile--she can be called Marti (I don't plan to use Marti) or Tina (I might use Tina). Although I won't be able to find pre-made things like souvenir pens and barrettes with Martina written on them, I can buy her things that say "Tina."
Another pretty name that is very close to it is Marina.
:)
