Both fn's are gorgeous, however I would avoid a mn beginning in a vowel as it clashes with the ending -a in both names. From your list I like:
Isadora Beatrix
Isadora Helen
Cordelia Lucienne
Cordelia Charlotte
My favourite over all is Cordelia Lucienne or Isadora Lucienne.
-Nikki
I like Isadora Beatrix & Cordelia Charlotte..

I agree with Nikki's comments and like the same names she does.
Thanks so much. You guys are great.
It's amazing to get so much thorough and well-considered input from people!
Truly, it's very helpful - not many in my circle are as interested in names as I am, so it has been hard to get good feedback.
First, let me explain my choices for first names (a previous poll, and especially the comments I received, helped me to select them).
Re: ISADORA
It's true, it has the same beginning as Isabelle - it feels to me like less frilly, more exotic choice. I like it's meaning (and the fact that it's slightly pagan while being classic). Also, I like Isadora Duncan. The nicknames Dora and Sadie are swell, too.
Re: CORDELIA
I've always loved this name. I love Shakespeare, and love in particular this character
from King Lear. The nicknames are lovely too: Cordelie, Cordie, Cora, Delia, Coco. My only worry is that the name, in this age of long, many syllabled names ending in "a", will lose something of it's singularity. Anyone heard of any other little baby Cordelias out there?
Nikki, I think you’re right about the clashing vowels. My husband’s mother, whom he is hoping to honor, is called Anne. Anabel is my way of incorporating her name. But we’re not absolutely set on using Anne.
Donna, I love your ideas - I think you get my aesthetic. In fact, Josephine and Delphine were on my short list for first names.
Thanks for the input! Again, it really helps.
Cheers,
Eleni
I actually love both your fn choices. I was one of those who mentioned the similarity between Isadora and the Isabel- names (not that you hadn't already noticed LOL), but wanted to mention that I definitely think Isadora has a less "trendy" feel. My g-grandmother's mn was Eudora -- very similar, but without the currently-popular Isa- beginning (not saying you should consider it as an alternative -- unless you want to, then you're more than welcome LOL -- just that it strikes me as a very similar less-common old-fashioned name).
I also agree with pps that a mn beginning with a consonant would work best (unfortunately, because I love Imogen!). That leaves:
Cordelia Charlotte -- I don't normally go for matching initials, but these sound different enough to work. I love both, btw, although Charlotte is definitely one of the more common mn choices on this list
Isadora Beatrix -- love it! I also like Beatrix with Cordelia, btw
Isadora Helen -- I instinctively wanted to say Isadora Hel-een. No idea why, but I like it LOL (Helen's fine too, but not quite as "exotic" as Isadora, if you KWIM)
Cordelia Lucienne -- I like that a lot
