Middle name for Grant

Any suggestions on a 3-syllable middle name for Grant? Oh - and how popular is Grant? I don't want super-popular.
Also, has anyone met any little boys named Pierce? I like the name, but it seems very adult, not like a little boy-name. Any thoughts?
Finally, comments on Hart? Flynn? Drake? Court? Reed? Payne? You won't hurt my feelings - I'd like your honest opinions.

You can check the popularity of baby names at http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/. Grant was ranked #141 for boy names in 2004, so it's not too popular, but it is a well-known name. I like Grant a lot. My only concern with it is that you might be saying, "Grant, not Brant (or some other name)" a lot since it's similar to a few others.
Some 3-syllable mn ideas for Grant:
Grant Jonathan
Grant Nathaniel
Grant Malachi
Grant Josiah
Grant Isaiah
Grant Abraham
Grant Benedict
Grant Christopher
Grant Elliott
Grant Matthias
Grant Lionel
Grant Nicholas
Grant Oliver
Grant Roderick
Grant Samuel
Grant Theodore

Grant Sebastian
I know one little boy named Pierce, but it was only ranked #515 in 2004, so there aren't too terribly many out there. I like Pierce a lot, too.
Hart and Flynn are nms. Finn is okay, though. Drake and Reed aren't bad either, but I don't like them as well as Grant or Pierce. I don't like Court b/c I think it will be seen as a girl's name -- nn for Courtney. And I don't like Payne b/c it's essentially the same as "pain", and I wouldn't want to name my child that.
HTH! And good luck making a decision!

I really like both Grant and Pierce. Here are some 3-syllable mn suggestions:
Grant/Pierce Alexander
Grant/Pierce Timothy
Grant/Pierce Isaiah
Grant/Pierce Josiah
Grant/Pierce Harrison
Grant Christopher.
I don't think Grant is popular at all. I've never come across any even though I have 4 young sons.
Grant is a very nice, classic honorable name!
I think that Grant Alan sounds nice.
I would personally skip Pierce, if only because of the idiotic bully Piers Polkiss in the Harry Potter series. "Pierce" just isn't a nice verb either, is it?
Hart: Hart to Hart... sorry, think of the series. It also rhymes with Bart and fart.
Flynn: Nice! A daring, adventurous soul. Think of Errol Flynn.
Drake: Also nice, but again, Harry Potter mean-guy warning! Draco Malfoy is not a nice near-namesake.
Court: A nickname for Courtney. Too feminine. Would only work nicely if he plays basketball.
Reed: Nice and simple. I like it!
Payne: Too much "pain" in Payne. Nope.

A friend of mine had a baby in June that she named Pierce. His brother is Gavin.
I love Grant. Some excellent suggestions have already been said.

I read your name ideas and i really LOVE Grant....I am a big basketball fan and I love Grant Hill...It is a very sophistocated image to me....I think with the names like Court or Flynn you have to look at what type of carreer your son may want in the future...I would think that Grant would suit a professional much better than Flynn or Court or Pierce. Grant is lovely....i dont know your taste in names but i know that for me 3 sylables is tough...the first thing that came to my mind was Washington. Dont know why because i am not big on Washington myself, but there is a lot of history in that name...
good luck....
