short of knowing any family names on your list, here are my thoughts:
Kiernan Alexander, Kiernan Douglas, Kiernan Gregory, Kiernan Joseph, Kiernan Joshua, Kiernan Jacob, Kiernan Lucas (not just Luke in the middle though), Kiernan Matthew, Kiernan Michael, Kiernan Marcus, Kiernan Patrick, Kiernan Thomas, Kiernan William, Kiernan Zachary.
(for Kiernan you shouldn't use other names that end in an, en, in, on, etc. too repetitive. also - no Ns, since it would run together with Kiernan ending in N and the middle starting in N. One syllable names don't sound good in the middle there either).
Luke Andrew, Luke Anthony, Luke Alexander, Luke Benjamin, Luke Donovan, Luke Daniel, Luke Douglas, Luke Joseph, Luke Joshua, Luke Jared, Luke Matthew, Luke Michael, Luke Marcus, Luke Nathaniel, Luke Nicholas, Luke Patrick, Luke Preston, Luke Thomas, Luke William.
(for Luke you shouldn't use a lot of stuff with the hard C/K in them, especially not at the start where it would run together. I did put Patrick, Nicholas and Marcus in there, which have that sound, but on those three the flow did seem to be OK. on many others I thought of, it wasn't. I think Luke needs a longer middle. some two-syllable names seems to sound longer than others.)
I'm surprised at your Robin choice a little. haven't heard that name on a child in years. there were a lot of those around my age and up to about 15 years younger (now in mid-late 30s to mid-late 40s). Plus, to some degree, it's unisex, but I haven't heard it on a boy for many years either.
Robin Amber, Robin Ashley, Robin Alexandra, Robin Alexis, Robin Corinne, Robin Christine, Robin Danielle, Robin Elizabeth, Robin Elise, Robin Janelle, Robin Jolene, Robin Kathleen, Robin Lynelle, Robin Lynette, Robin Michelle, Robin Suzanne.
(here I'd avoid any that start with R or any that have a B in them at all, except for Elizabeth, because the B is so far removed on the last syllable of 4)
good luck.
Thanks so much for all of your input I will take all of those names into consideration when I sit down with FOB!!
Ok, so Robin was not my choice for a little girl...but FOB is a comic book writer and his favorite character is YES you guessed it.. Robin from Batman and Robin.. So I had to give into this after much of a heated debate!! After considering it for a while I did realize that I had not know 1 Robin in any school that I had ever been in so it had to be a good sign that it was not a popular name and it would let her be unique. The trouble now was finding a middle name for it, because it is hard to match with another name.. I do LOVE Robin Elizabeth though and it would give her the same initials as mommy as my name is Rebecca Eileen!!
But on the brighter side of things.. I have a feeling it's a boy and hopefully by the time we have another baby he will be over this Robin thing!!! (Although it kind of has grown on me...:)

Well, in that case, tell him it has to be Robin Carrie -- or perhaps Carrie Kelly. Or Kory? :)
If he knows Miller's Dark Knight series (which he should), perhaps this would work instead!

I like the way Kiernan Patrick sounds. Luke Marshall sounds nice too.
Possibilities for a mn for Robin:
Abigail
Victoria
Colleen
Marie
Jennifer
Lauren
HTH!
Keirnan Michael
Luke Anderson
Robin Jane
I like Kiernan James myself, but if your hubby's so keen on Robin from Batman & Robin, he should know that Robin there is a boy! Why not Robert something, nn Robin? Robert Michael, Robert Lucas, Robert Alexander, Robert Joseph, Robert Charles.. The possibilities are endless! Robert's a name that you rarely hear these days unless the child in question is a jr. or third. A Robert, nn Robin would be so refreshing and would definitely stand out in the classroom, especially now that Robin for girls is on the serious downswing as well. (Robin for girls was at 973 in 2003.. headed off the charts, Robin for a boy IS off the charts, but Robert is at # 35, after being in the top 20 from the 1900's to 1990!) Maybe it's just me, but I think Robert/Robin for a boy is far more interesting that Robin on a girl!
As for girl names, if he's a serious Batman fan, Selina (for Catwoman), Barbara (for Batgirl), even Ivy, for Poison Ivy!. Or how about the classic Diana, for Wonder Woman?

After reading the thread I have a few ideas of my own for you! I'm not a Keirnan fan so I won't even address that one.
I know an IVY ELIZABETH and she is soo cute. I just LOVE her name and I think it's precious and unique without being over the top. It doesn't make me think of poison when I see her or anything either. Ivy Elizabeth..I mean doesn't that have flow and a nice sound?
LUKE is one of my all-time favorite boy names. I loved someone elses suggestion of Luke Marshall. That really has a nice ring to it! I also like Lucas Xavier nicknamed Luke.
What about this middle name.... Robin Francesca.
Good luck!

Thank you to every one I really appreciate all of your suggestions!!!
And I thought I was the only one who new about all these comic book characters!! I'm glad to know that some of you know about comics. My BF would be so pleased. I did not know much about comics until we got together and now I'm kind of a semi-pro... But there are a lot of different names in comic books, so I would suggest all Mommies to be to be on the look out for names from there!!
