I am in love with the name Kate but having difficulty in choosing a middle name. I would want the first name to be Kate (not Katherine or anything else). I'd love to hear any suggestions you might have. Thanks for your help!

Can you give us something to go on...a style of names that you like, family members (first or last names) that you may want to honor...names that you hate? With a name like Kate (common, one-syllable), the field is wide-open. I don't want to list 10 names and have you hate all of them. I'd rather give you some names that will really help.

I really like the name Kate, by the way.

My 12 mo. old daughter is Kate, just Kate not Katherine. We chose her middle name when my grandmother passed away 4 days before my daughters birth and used my grandmothers name. Anyhow we were going to use Kate Meredith, Kate Marie or Kate Nicole until we ended up with Kate Eleanor. I LOVE the name Kate, good choice!! :)

You'll have to go with a long name. Here are some ideas:
Kate Ariana
Kate Isabella
Kate Evangeline
Kate Annalise
Kate Adriana
Kate Gabriella
Kate Samantha
Kate Elizabeth
Kate Seraphina
Kate Brielle
Kate Aurora
Kate Lilianna
Kate Aveline

I agree, a longer mn makes sense. How about:

Kate Elizabeth
Kate Alexandra
Kate Anastasia
Kate Celeste
Kate Emeline (or Emmaline)
Kate Annabel
Kate Isabelle
Kate Madeline (or Madeleine)
Kate Natalia
Kate Olivia
Kate Pilar
Kate Rebecca
Kate Susannah
Kate Sabine

Thanks to everyone for your excellent suggestions. I agree that the middle name should be longer. Someone asked what kind of names I liked....my first daughter's name is Lauren Marisa (Marisa after her grandma), but there is no one else that I'd like to honor so my options are open. I am open to any suggestions, but am usually turned off by really outlandish names or common names spelled oddly. Alexandra was another name I was considering so I liked the idea of combining them to form Kate Alexandra. There were others I really liked, too. If anyone else has any ideas, please share. :)

Lauren Marisa is very pretty!

You mentioned Kate Alexandra. What about Kate Alessandra? Kate is gorgeous, but so popular, and I think that the extra bounce of Alessandra stands out a little more against Kate. Also, Kate is a short name with hard sounds, so Alessandra sounds very soft against it, unlike the very harsh Alexandra.

Other suggestions:

Sophia
Caroline (really like the alliteration of Kate Caroline, and the two long vowels paired!)
Meredith
Anastasia
Abigail
Francesca (love this one!)
Lillian
Madeleine
Elizabeth
Eliza
Lenora
Victoria

Le us know which ones you're most fond of! Good luck!
