Can anyone give me good middle names for Luna? We decided not to name her after any family members or family names since we have lots of people we love and we can't honor everyone with a namesake. So I just need any suggestions for middle names. Thanks in advance!

I would choose something solid and grounded to balance out the beautiful but ethereal Luna...(hope I don't get the names of too many loved ones on this list!)

Luna Eleanor
Luna Madeline
Luna Christine
Luna Adelaide
Luna Danica
Luna Josephine
Luna Penelope

I don't like the suggestions of Luna Skye and Luna Starr, hope you are not offended. They are just too spacey!!

My suggestions would be:

Luna Mae
Luna Grace
Luna Alexandra
Luna Sophie
Luna Poppy
Luna Elizabeth
Luna Madeline
Luna Olivia
Luna Emily

Hello and congratulations on expecting a baby girl!

Luna is a neat choice, short, sassy, and multicultural, like many of the name trends today, without any of the popularity. For that reason, I would avoid a predictable filler middle name. You have the chance to raise the bar on the whole name combo by putting as much thought into the middle name!

So, I would avoid names like:

Grace, Rose, Ann, Leigh, Catherine, Danielle, Michelle, Lauren, Margaret, Elizabeth, Faith, Hope, Marie, Nicole unless they have major significance to you.

I would also avoid names that give the overall name a celestial sound. Luna alone is very, very pretty. With something like Skye it becomes more cutesy. I feel the same about noun names with Luna (Rose for example). A bit of overkill.

Some neat combos that came to mind are:

Luna Marion

Luna Meredith

Luna Gillian

Luna Minette

Luna Simone

You might consider a name with a great meaning as opposed to a family name:

Luna Miranda- beautiful and admired

Luna Callista- beautiful

Luna Beatrice- happy & blessed

Luna Brinley- princess

Luna Charlotte- little lady

Luna Emily- industrious

Luna Vivian- full of life

Enjoy the hunt,

Ginger

Please do not get upset when I tell you this, but I think you need to RETHINK the whole "luna" thing. It's cute for a kid, and it's cute for a middle name, but to be what she is called everyday...over and over...and you know how kids are in school they can be harsh, I just think you might need to seriously consider how your kid may feel having this name. I know you obviously love the name, but do you think they will appreciate the name as much as you? No hard feelings, just trying to be honest. Think about it.
