We are expecting a boy in October.

My husband likes Maddox, but we can't think of a good middle name...
Last name is Powell.

Older sister is Kya Monet (2 1/2)

And what do you think of Maddox for a first name anyway?

I think it sounds best with a one syllable MN:

Maddox Shane Powell
Maddox James Powell

Maddox Craig Powell

Although, I also think these sound okay:

Maddox Isaiah Powell

Since middle names are rarely used, I like middle names that have meaning or will have meaning to the child.

Do you have any family last names you could use? It is a great way to pass on family history for a family name that will be lost (example - grandmother's maiden name) Especially for boys - I don't think it has to be a name that sounds like a first name.

Another option is to give a name with a meaning you like. For example, "Aaron" means inspired and enlighted. Or find a name with a meaning that compliments the meaning of Maddox.

I do like Maddox as a first name! Have fun picking out the other!
