My middle name is Reese, which I love. I am not sure about using it as a middle name for Sylvia because the styles are so different. Do you think Sylvia Reese Patrick sounds okay? If not, please give me some suggestions. My other dilemma with Reese is that I would like to use it as a first name for a boy. Is that weird to give a boy my middle name as a first name? Will he feel like he was named a girl name? Thanks for your help!

I think Sylvia Reese is very nice. I don't think I would use Reese as a first name for a boy.

I tend to think of Reese as a boy name so I dont think that giving it to your son is odd at all, I especially like the connection it gives to the 2 of you. I dont think Sylvia Reese Patrick sounds bad at all either.

I can tell you I used my mom's maiden name for my sons first name. My niece also has my moms maiden name as her middle name. My sister and I were both very proud to honor my mom by using her maiden name and not once has anyone said a word about if it is better for a boy or a girl. If you love it...do it and he will love it too!

Sylvia Reese sounds great to me. As long as you love it, I'm sure little Sylvia will too. Reese is also fine for a boy. My son goes to school with a boy named Reese.
