How about your maiden name or another last name from your family? So much nicer than just a "filler" middle name, imo.

I agree with the suggestion for a family name, but I have a few suggestions, too. I think something long and feminine would go very well with Tess.

Tess Jacqueline
Tess Elizabeth
Tess Christine
Tess Danielle
Tess Gabrielle
Tess Brianne
Tess Julianne

I agree & we have tried to use a family name, it just simply isn't working. The names we have to work with are mostly short ones which don't really work or they just don't work with our last name (sounds similar to Little) For example, Gail, Lila, Claire, Ruby....etc etc....they just don't "go". My maiden name is no better....I agree that the middle name should be long & feminine....I really like Tess Elizabeth but DH has some strange aversion towards that name lol.....thanks for the suggestions!

3-or-4 syllable mns will sound best - although many 2-syllables are doable.
Either way, 2-3-4, you need for the accent to NOT be on the first syllable.

Tess Alexandra, Tess Brianna, Tess Corinne, Tess christina (ah, maybe a little S-heavy), Tess Carina, Tess Delaney, Tess Elizabeth, Tess Elise (again, maybe too S-heavy), Tess Gisele, Tess Johanna, Tess Kathleen, Tess Liyonna, Tess Michelle, Tess Mackenzie, Tess Monique, Tess Nicole, Tess Noelle, Tess Nadine, Tess Olivia, Tess Rhiannon, Tess Renee, Tess Victoria, Tess Veronica. - definitely no S or T starters.

good luck.

out of that list - the ones that to me would be the top 5 based on a combination of sound and style compatibility would be Alexandra, Kathleen, Olivia, Victoria & Veronica

Hmm, what about Tess Liliana to honor Lily?
Or Tess Abigail to honor Gail? I really like that one!

Are you willing to do Tessa instead of Tess? That would go well with more of your middle name choices, too. Tessa Claire and Tessa Ruby are darling.

Just a thought...

Thanks for the suggestions :-) Tess Abigail is pretty & we actually had chosen Abigail as a first name for awhile but nixed it due to popularityso that's an idea. Tess Liliana might get to be too many "L"'s with our last name (sounds similar to Little). I really liked Tessa but for some reason dh doesn't like it at all....sigh....men lol....

Hi, I'd very much like to have another baby, hubby keeps deploying so it's not helping. Avery is what I'd use for a girl. I'd suggest Tess Avery. But, I've had 3 kids and my youngest daughter was Brandy til the day she was born, then once we saw her, we knew she was an Emily but then had a horrible time coming up with a middle name, even had to wait to be able to sign birth cert. and to leave the hospital over it. So, sometimes you just have to wait and see them to know. Good luck

Tess, is a really cute name. I think that any cutesy name, especially thoses ending in a vowel (even 'Y')!, would be a nice compliment to this name. -goodluck!
