Hi guys,
If we do pick Leo for our baby boys name (if it is a boy, of course), now we need help with a middle name! Any suggestions?
My husband originally wanted angelo, but leo angelo is too sing-songy (especially since our last name ends in an "O" as well). He suggested
Leo Anthony last night. That sounds good, but DH has an uncle named Anthony (Tony). We wouldn't be naming him after his uncle necessarily (he just likes the name), but it would be perceived that way, I think, by others and maybe even our son. His uncle is really nice to us, but he has certain attributes I have a lot of problems with (like using racial slurs a lot - I've even had to ask him not to talk that way in front of my son). So, he's not the person I'd ever want to name my son after. Any suggestions? Hubby likes Italian names, but we'd need to stay away from those ending in "o".
thanks!

I am mommy to Leo Gabriel. Other middle names we considered were James, Jude, Robert and Raphael. I hope this helps and best of luck with your pregnancy and birth.

Personally, I wouldn't take the chance that the name would be perceived by family as 'for' this uncle if I knew it would bother me or might bother my son down the line
these aren't Italian, but I think they would go well with Leo and an Italian last name
Leo Benjamin, Leo Christopher, Leo Dominic, Leo Donovan, Leo Gregory, Leo Joshua, Leo James, Leo Matthew, Leo Michael, Leo Marcus, Leo Nathaniel, Leo Nathan, Leo Nicholas, Leo Robert, Leo Stephen, Leo Timothy, Leo Thomas, Leo Vincent, Leo william, Leo Zachary.
good luck
I think Leo is great :) I hear you on the Anthony issue, I would not use it since you don't want to give the impression that you're using the name to honor dh's uncle. So many Italian names end in -o, don't they? How about:
Leo Giovanni
Leo Rafaele
Leo Dante
Leo Salvatore
I'm having a hard time coming up with any others that don't end in o, sorry!!
