Well, if your fiance hates the name then you really should go back to the drawing board. It is, after all, his child too.

I feel the same way about the name Damien. Sorry! Hollywood must have twisted it for me.

Kylee Cohee is too sing songy, in my opinion. I like the name, just not the two together. The double ee ending of your last name kinda limits you. Kyla Cohee would be much better.

Girl suggestions:

Ayla

Olive

Gretchen

Boy suggestion:

Gage

Dustin

Drake

Damon/Damian is okay, but not the greatest IMO, and Kylee is too popular. I know SO many Kylee's/Kaylee's/Kayla's that its getting really boring. For boys, how about:
Darren
Dylan
Darius
Ethan
Colby
Cody
Todd
Kyle

And for girls:
Layla
Sienna
Keira
Clara
Marissa
Kenzie
Bronwyn
Rhiannon/Rhianne
Leanne/Lianna
Sarah nn Sadie
Alyssa

I like the name Damian. I wouldnt worry at all about your MIL, but you really do have to concider your fiancee's feelings. MIL all ready had there chance at baby naming. Its not her baby.

I've heard the best thing to do when trying to agree on a baby name is for each of you to sit down with the baby name book and write down a list of names you like. When you've done that, then get back together and see if any of the names match. If none match, see if any of the names are close or if you can see anything common like most of them start with the same letter or have a common sound (ie Harry, Charlie, Amy). I don't know if this will solve your problem, but maybe it'll give you a starting point.

Hope this helps
