My sis is due in a few months and kinda likes the sounds of the names Kiane and Kya (sp??). Does anyone have any other suggestions of names that are similar???

She has 3 boys (Brevin, Ryland & Nolan) and is hoping for a final girl.

TIA

Katharine, Kathleen, Kaia, Kelley, Kara, Karenna, Kellen, Kelsey, Kristan, Kiki, Kira, Kiera, Kyla, Kylie (Kiley)

Is the K necessary, or just the K sound? If just the sound is important, then what about one of these:

Carys, Caroline, Caitrin, Caterina, Catalin, Callie, Cameron, Carson, Christine, Christian, Clara

None of these may be what you're looking for...I just threw in every K/C sounding name I could think of! :-)

I have a few cute K suggestions...but I'm really posting to you because of your SIL's son's name Brevin. That is the name my DH and I have had picked out for ages for a boy...since we met. We struggle with infertility...but do have one DD Sarah...and I just had some infertility treatment...I do a PG test this week...and if so...we hope for a boy this time. I've known we were going to name him Brevin for a very long time...and have kept an ear out...but this is the first time I've heard of someone else using it, I can never find it in baby name books or meaning books or anything. Are they satisfied with the name....where did they hear of it? Is the boy old enought to have a clear like or dislike for it...what did they choose for a middle? I'm having a hard time picking a middle that goes well with it? Anyway...just curious.....

BTW...my ideas for K girls....Karessa, Kissiah, Kyliah, Kynell, Kessly, Kesstyn...they're all different...and could be spelled differently. I think Kessly particularly goes with the names of her boys.

Thanks for your responses!! I will pass them on to her (and tell her another Brevin fan liked "Kessly" he hehe!!)

I really like the name Brevin (and she has gotten a lot of compliments too). Its my favorite name of her three (it got the most compliments as well).

Brevin is 5 now and his middle name is Michael. The really strange thing is was that my DH's Aunt (so on the other side of our family) told us that she new of 3 Brevins born that year (2000) and they were all named Brevin Michael!! So, I guess there are a few out there that think Michael works as a middle name! LOL!!

I have never seen or met any other Brevins yet. And as far as I know, there have been no qualms over the name and he likes it just fine. As for coming up with the name, I honestly think that there could have been a basketball player (or some other sport) with the name? (But its been a while!) So I believe it was just a name they heard and fell in love with.

I think Brevin all in all is a good name, and I would recommend to keep it on your list! If you have any more questions please don't hesitate!! (Kinda fun, actually!)

Best of luck in the coming days with your test!! I will keep you in my thoughts & prayers!

Ooh, I like a lot of names on your list! Kinda funny though, she babysat a Kennedy and babysat for a Keisha (and she I think that's all the babysitting she's done!!!) I really like Kenzington, but its not up to me LOL!! Thanks for the ideas, I'll pass them on!!
