Hi Chrissy,

I agree with Donalyn, my mother was 23 when she had me and it has been so fantastic having a young mom.

Try to be strong when you tell your parents. Remind them that being pregnant is a beautiful gift. If you are happy about it, your glow should influence them as well.

Good luck and congratulations. I too am having my first in 3-4 weeks and am scared. It is normal. Have fun day dreaming about you and your baby. And, no matter what you go through, talk to your baby while you are experiencing all of these emotions. It is important to reassure her/him whenever possible.

Hi Chrissy. I definitely know what you're going through. I am also expecting my first child and had a difficult time telling my parents. I am 22 and not yet married so I was scared of how they would handle the news. I was excited about the baby so I chose to tell them in fun way. I bought a baby picture frame and put a card inside it that simply said "Place photo of your next grandchild here on October 10". They were definitely surprised but I think that since they initially understood that I was excited they were morso happy for me and now couldn't be more excited. Good luck letting them know and just remember that they are your parents and they are going to love you no matter what.
