Name for 4th daughter

My DH and I are expecting our fifth child in May. Our children's names are:
Clara Margaret, Sophia Mae (nn Sophie), Eva Katherine and Philip Thomas.

Our 5th child is a girl and we have tentatively chosen the name Julia Elizabeth. Other names we have considered are:
Louisa Jane (nn Lucy)--my DH doesn't care for this name too much
Maria Elizabeth (nn Marie)--this is a popular Spanish name. Does it sound out of place with our other children's names (our last name is very German)?
Helena--I don't know what I'd use for a middle name. Helena Elizabeth sounds funny to me.

Elizabeth is a strong family name on both sides, so I'd really like to use it for a middle name. Anyway, I'd love to hear your opinions on these names. Ginger, I'm very interested in your opinions too!

I voted for Julia Elizabeth in your poll, before I found out it's your first choice.

Julia Elizabeth is a beautiful name and it sounds so nice with your other children's names.

Maria seems too hispanic to go with a German last name. Althought not hispanic, Louisa/Lucy has that feel to me. Lucy is just not as lovely as Clara, Sophia or Eva.

Helena is lovely, but I prefer Julia.

If you used Elizabeth as the first name, you could do Elizabeth Helene or Elizabeth Helena.

My favorite German names are Heidi, Greta and Gretchen. Greta Elizabeth!

Julia Elizabeth- its nice and it uses the mn you want to use, but Julia is pretty popular, it seems kind of 'standard' to me (2 common names even though it happens to have meaning for you).
Louisa Jane- this is my favorite combo out of the bunch, Louisa is very cute.
Maria Elizabeth- its alright, Maria is nice but also pretty popular right now. I think Marianne, Marissa or Marilyn would fit with your other children's names better.
Helena- I really liked the name Helena too when I was pregnant but couldn't find a middle name that I liked with it. We wound up using Alaina Rhoslyn (varient of Elena; Rhoslyn is my mil's name)

HTH!

Julia Elizabeth does sound very nice together, and it does flow rather well with your other daughters' names. Have you thought of variants of Julia, though? We had a German exchange student named Juliane (pronounced like Julie-Anne). Or Julianna Elizabeth? I also have a cousin who married a German woman named Sabine, however, I thought Sabine was a French name. In either case, I think it's a lovely name.

Have you thought of other German classics, such as:
Mary (vs. Maria)
Gabriele
Hilde
Geraldine/Geraldina (nn Gerry or Dina)
Edie
Geneveve/Geneveva (nn Genna)
Aria
Ada

I think all would sound wonderful with Elizabeth as the mn. Good luck!

You do not have to use the full version of Elizabeth to honour the usage of the name.
Elizabeth comes in MANY forms:

Helena, I like it!

"Helena Lise" sounds modern yet old-fashioned at the same monent.A winner.....
