A couple of days ago, dh told me that he wasn't sold on the baby names we'd chosen. They were Symone Elizabeth and Pierce Garrett. So we've been talking about names again and I want some feedback on what we've come up with. Now it's Evangeline Rose and Pierce Lincoln.

Our others are Grant Harrison, Cecilia Grace ( we call her CC), Nathaniel Patrick (we call him Tater) and Annalise Claire (long A).

Thanks,
Alicia

I like Evangeline Rose much better, so that change gets a thumbs up! Though I have to admit that I do like Pierce Garrett a lot more than with Lincoln. It seems to fit better, IMO and goes with the feel of your other kids names (which are great, BTW).

I wanted to ask, though... when you say that Annalise Claire has a long A... are you meaning that the first letter is long... as in Aye-nuh-leese? I wasn't sure if you meant that you say it *Ah-nuh-leese* instead of the more common *Anne-nuh-leese*. JC

Thanks for the thumbs up. I said the same exact thing about Garrett and Lincoln. Lincoln just fits better. Lol. And thanks about the other children's names. We love them.

We are mostly cajun on both sides so we pronounce her name with the French twist the way dh's greatgrandmother dis. Although we added the "l" to make it more suitable for today. Her name was Annaise. It's pronounced with an Ah or Au.

hello!! (i had to edit my whole reply because dummy me read your post wrong-i thought the kids names you listed at the end were names you were consiodering-not names you were already using!! LOL hopefully this is the only reply you read!!) so i liked both the names you had picked out originally-i love symone and i love pierce. im glad you havent changed pierce-i really love that name for a boy. im not 100% in love with lincoln but its a good strong middle name that fits well with harrison and patrick...as far as evangeline-its okay...but its not my favorite name. its never been on my favorite name list though...if you love it-then go for it. i do love rose. in face my oldest dd middle name is rose-violet rose. (and her sister is isabelle grace-lol). good luck!!!

Haha, I did only see this last post but it made me curious to what your original was, lol. Thanks for the input. I found out that dh likes Garrett as a first name but I don't so we may not ever use it. He has always liked Lincoln and I'm ok with it as a middle name so it makes a good compromise. As for Evangeline, I really wasn't sure about it at first but the more I hear and say it, I'm liking it more and more. Plus I already know that she'll be called Eva and I love that. I still adore Symone, so we may use it for another baby if I can talk him into it. For some reason, dh doesn't think it sounds feminine enough. Sometimes I don't understand his thought process. Thanks again.
