Name for Campbell and Carter's baby brother - time is running out!

  • Brennan William
  • Cohen William (we are not Jewish)
  • Coen William (an alternate spelling because we are not Jewish)
  • Hayden William
  • Brody William
  • Clayton William
  • Other suggestions?

I voted for Brody.

Regarding the Cohen/Coen issue, there are many legitimate spellings of the Cohen surname, including: Coyne, Coen, Cohen, Kyne, Kilcoyne, Coyney, Koyne, Koen, Kohen, M'Coyne, Coyn, Coin, Coine, Koin, and Koine.

Any one of those spellings carries with it the same religious and cultural history and significance that I pointed out in a previous post. While I appreciate that you are trying to be sensitive by exploring spelling alternatives, using the Coen spelling does not, in any way, alleviate those concerns.

I voted for Brennan because I think it goes with the sibs without being matchy.

Ditto the thumbs-up for Brennan and the logic--two is a coincidence, three is a pattern and those can be hard to keep up with.

  • Brennan William
  • Cohen William (we are not Jewish)
  • Coen William (an alternate spelling because we are not Jewish)
  • Hayden William
  • Brody William
  • Clayton William

  • I voted for Brennan William, because I like Brennan the best of those first names

I don't care for Cohen, and not becaues of the Jewish thing, I just don't care for it - but I think it would be weird to use if you're not Jewish - don't like that alt spelling Coen at all, it seems forced

Hayden has gone to the girls too much lately - how about Holden William as an alternative for that - I'd even like that better than Brennan

Brody - I personally don't like it at all

Clayton William would be my choice if you want to stick with Cs with Campbell and Carter - I also like it second of the list behind Brennan (unless you'd switch Hayden to Holden, then it'd be in 3rd). how about Colin or Colton for a C name?

Coen is still a legitimate spelling of the surname.

Yeah--just look at the Coen brothers! And, actually, Cohen is also an Irish surname, completely unrelated.
