Hi Everyone -

My DH and I just found out that we will be having a boy in June. However, we can’t decide on a name. We both like Nathan and our last name is 3 syllables which ends in Ski. If anyone has any suggestions on a middle name for Nathan (“Nate”) or any other name we would be so happy to hear them. Our DD’s name is Allison.

Many Thanks!!

I know these were posted already, but we had Nathan Asher and Nathan Sawyer (our ln is also 3 syllables) on our list if this baby had turned out to be a boy. I know a lot of nice boy names seem to end in the -an sound, and if you had any of those in mind you could also consider using Nathaniel as the full fn and they would still work in the mn slot (just something we thought of when considering Nathan/Nathaniel). I really like Asher and Sawyer, so not many of these are jumping out at me as examples, but offhand I can think of Rowan, Aidan, Carson, Oran, Owen, etc. ... you get my point. :)

Nathan, nn Nate, is a fine name. For a middle name, I always prefer one with meaning rather than a "sounds good" or "runner up for the first name spot" name. How about your maiden name, the baby's grandparents first or last names or some other family name?

Congrats to you! We recently found out we were having a girl after we "just knew" we were having a boy! We already had a boys name picked out and everything! My father's name is Nathaniel, and I LOVE the name Trent, so we picked "Nathaniel Trent" (planning to call him Trent) but since your last name is longer and you are aiming towards "Nathan" I still think Trent flows nicely, especially with a 3 syllable last name...

Nathan Trent ....ski.

Good luck!!
