Name for fourth...
| Sat, 09-25-2004 - 10:38am |
I am pregnant with my fourth. Thursday we found out we are finally having a little girl!!! I have three sons and before they were born my dh insisted on naming them. I have grown to love their names but now we are stuck. My dh says now that I am having a girl I can name her. My sons are Tyler, Toby and Tanner. All t's. I just have not found any t's that I like for a girl. Do you think it would be weird to go off the T thing? I have always loved the name Megan for a girl. I also know this will be my last child so I want a name I love not just like. Please help. Oh, I did ask my boys what they thought and they all love Megan and said they did not care about the whole T thing. Don't you just love boys!!!
Thanks,
Lisa

P.S. You could give her a T- mn...
Megan is a pretty popular name, maybe even more-so than Tyler, which is the most popular of your boys.
however, Taegan or Teegan, either pronunciation - would fit great with your boys name, be very similar to the Megan that you like and start with a T.
I know one pronounced spelled Tegan - pronounced just like Megan. I think it's a nice spelling, but slightly possible to be left open to mispronunciation.
my opinion is to go with the Taegan if you want the rhyme of Megan, to go with Teegan if you would like the long E sound in there better.
Other T names i like a lot: Tonya, (although the Tonya Harding deal certainly ruined that pretty name, hopefully that's soon a forgotten saga), Tara, Tasha, Torri, Taleen, Tessa, Tiffany (maybe a little 80s, but certainly very pretty and Megan really gained its popualarity in the 80s anyhow).
good luck.
Since all your boys have 2 syllable first names...then you are keeping a pattern there with Megan.
Go ahead and use Megan!
