okay i've never actually written anything on here before. i'm nine months preggo and am deperate to find a name for the baby if it's a girl. We were all set on Sadie for the last eight and a half mths but our last names are Stanley-Sticco and i just can't get past the triple SSS thing. i want to find something that's strong for her. i figure while she's still little we could give her a nickname to make it a little more girly (ie: my sister was born in 84 when Jordan was not common for a girl so we called her Jodi till she was comfortable with it). but he likes names that are so girly they border on stripper names for me!!! now with our boy name we compromised and he got the first name, Oliver, and i get the middle, Cassius, and his nickname will be Cash. so i think we'll probably do the same for the girl but vice versa. here our some of our favs right now:
ME:
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie)
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn)
Olive(nn Livvie)
Georgia
Paige
Logan
HIS:
Anastacia
Lea(yes, like the princess!)
Cassidy
Ripley
Nico
Scarlett or Rose
can anyone see a fair compromise here? i would love your help. right now i think i'd be willing to settle for Nolan or Logan Casssidy but i think i'm so numb to the whole thing that i can't tell if it sounds ok or not!!thank you sooooo much!! i don't want to be sad when the babys born if they say "it's a girl" cause we don't have a name!!

Here goes...
From your list.....
ME:
Nolan - like the nn Lanie,
<
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie)- I don't see this on a girl, maybe because it makes me think of the baseball (or whatever sport) guy, Nolan Ryan. What about Delaney (then you can still use the nn Laney) and it isn't ultra feminine.
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn)- this is ok; What about Gwyneth? (just an idea if you like Wynnie)
Olive(nn Livvie)- this is nms; I would be afraid that she would just get teased too much.
Georgia- very nice
Paige- this is also very nice
Logan- I definately prefer this on a boy but I have seen it on girls; its ok.
HIS:
Anastacia- it's pretty but a bit much for me; what about Stacy (which is unisex so it fits into the Jordan catagory)
Lea(yes, like the princess!)- I like Leah (Lee-ah; not lay-a) or what about just Leigh/Lee, Leighton/Layton
Cassidy- I like this alot, I think it's strong and feminine at the same time
Ripley- nms; makes me think of Ripley's Believe it or not!
Nico- How about Nicole or Colette?
Scarlett or Rose- I like Scarlett and I think it's coming back into popularity a bit. It's not really a name I would use though. Rose is ok but kind of boring compared to all the other names off your lists.
other names you may like:

If you have a girl this time and have a boy later, would you still want to use the nn Cash for a boy?
I love your boy's choice, that is awesome!
ME:
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie) - I love Nola for a girl, and Lanie is great nn for Alaina, but Nolan is a boy's name and I really dislike it on a girl
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn)- Love Bronwen (prefer this simpler spelling) Great name
Olive(nn Livvie)- Really cute, i love this. It is the name of the character in teh new movie Little Miss Sunshine and I fell in love with it, so spunky
Georgia- sweet and spunky.
Paige- nice, a bit boring though
Logan- a boy's name
HIS:
Anastacia- Love this, prefer Anastasia though. So sweet
Lea(yes, like the princess!)- Love Leah, don't like Lea.
Cassidy- borign and outdated
Ripley- hmmm... seems to harsh
Nico- Love this on a boy...
Scarlett- LOVE this, so strong
Rose- eh, okay.
I love Olive and Scarlett best. I would avoid Cassidy, Paige, Nolan, and Logan for different reasons, (overdone, too popular, too masculine).
How about...
Olive Camille
Olive Francesca
Olive Aurora
Olive Ainsley
Olive Anastasia
Olive Annabel
Olive Ripley
-Nikki
I'll just type my thoughts on each name:
ME:
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie)-- too masculine; dislike
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn)--- use one n on th eend and I'll love it
Olive(nn Livvie)-- do you mean Olivia, or Olive? I like Olivia
Georgia--like
Paige--not my fav; but an alright mn
Logan--too masculine; dislike
HIS:
Anastacia--stripperish (you said it first! Plus, her initials would be ASS))
Lea(yes, like the princess!)--alright
Cassidy--nms
Ripley--nms
Nico--seems like ann to me; Nicole of Nicola are nice full name options, with nn Nico
Scarlett or Rose-- like both
Compromises:
Olivia Nicole (nn Livvie)
Nicola Paige (nn Nico)-- I like this
Georgia Rose (like a lit!)
Olivia Scarlett (nn Livvie)
Bronwyn Nicole (nn Bonnie)-- but do you want her initials to be BS?
Cassidy Paige
Natalie Rose (my idea is Natalie...thought it might bridge the gap. Or Natalia)
I like your boy name quite a bit. ;) Here are my thoughts on your girl list:
Yours ...
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie) -- I love Nolan for a boy, and I love Nola, Nolanna and Finola for a girl, but Nolan for a girl ... not so much. I understand if you want to honor someone or simply love a certain name that doesn't offer any known feminine options, but this one definitely does, so I don't really see the point in using the masculine version in this case.
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn) -- Not the best spelling, and I'd much prefer Bronwen or Branwen, but I like this in general. I also like the nns Bryn or Wren. ;)
Olive(nn Livvie) -- with the popularity of Olivia, this seems a bit too common for you. Not quite different enough to set it apart from all the rest, KWIM?
Georgia -- that also seems a bit too familiar, although it's really not overly popular
Paige -- kind of dated and a bit trendy. I only think of a book page, haircut and knight's attendant. Also not a favorite.
Logan -- love this for a boy. It's very trendy on a girl, however (falls in with all the other similar male names being slapped on little girls lately -- Aidan, Mason, Caden, et al -- so rather than having a "strong" name that stands out it just comes across as yet another parent following the crowd).
His ...
Anastacia -- I like it, but it does seem a bit frilly for your taste ;) Perhaps a good compromise name here might be Alanna(h). You could use the nn Lanie, mentioned above, Lainey, Lana, Lanna or Annie.
Lea(yes, like the princess!) -- maybe not as bad as a nn
Cassidy -- fine
Ripley -- Alien movies
Nico -- that could be ok as a nn, but otherwise it just sounds like a name the parents weren't really familiar with and just thought it "sounded cool." Like they just wanted something that sounded European and accidentally gave her a male name, KWIM?
Scarlett or Rose -- as long as you don't combine the two. LOL Scarlett actually seems like one that might appeal to both of you. It's a known feminine name, but it projects a very strong, spunky image and isn't too frilly or common in the least. Of course there is the S problem. ;) Charlotte or Violet might be great alternatives if that will bother you, but if they're too feminine you might also like Elliott. As to Rose, it also seems a bit too feminine and common for you, but Ruby would work wonderfully. Similar in sound and meaning, but a bit less common and very spunky. ;)
