okay i've never actually written anything on here before. i'm nine months preggo and am deperate to find a name for the baby if it's a girl. We were all set on Sadie for the last eight and a half mths but our last names are Stanley-Sticco and i just can't get past the triple SSS thing. i want to find something that's strong for her. i figure while she's still little we could give her a nickname to make it a little more girly (ie: my sister was born in 84 when Jordan was not common for a girl so we called her Jodi till she was comfortable with it). but he likes names that are so girly they border on stripper names for me!!! now with our boy name we compromised and he got the first name, Oliver, and i get the middle, Cassius, and his nickname will be Cash. so i think we'll probably do the same for the girl but vice versa. here our some of our favs right now:
ME:
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie)
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn)
Olive(nn Livvie)
Georgia
Paige
Logan
HIS:
Anastacia
Lea(yes, like the princess!)
Cassidy
Ripley
Nico
Scarlett or Rose
can anyone see a fair compromise here? i would love your help. right now i think i'd be willing to settle for Nolan or Logan Casssidy but i think i'm so numb to the whole thing that i can't tell if it sounds ok or not!!thank you sooooo much!! i don't want to be sad when the babys born if they say "it's a girl" cause we don't have a name!!

ps i LOVE oliver cassius...
Hi there, & congrats on your pregnancy!
I love Oliver Cassius nn Cash. That's extreamly cool.
Sadie is very sweet, but I agree that it's way too much w/your ln. That's too bad.
Here are my thoughts on your list:
ME:
Nolan(nn Nola or Lanie)-Nola & Lanie are darling, but Nolan on a girl? No, no, no! How about Finola nn Nola, Elaine nn Lanie, Elaina nn Lanie, or Delaney nn Laney...?
Bronwynn(nn Wynnie or Wynn)-That's really nice & different. I adore Wynnie.
Olive(nn Livvie)-Ooh, Olive is refreshing. Livvie is sweet.
Georgia-Not bad, not bad. I like the nn Gigi a lot here.
Paige-Meh, that's a bit bland.
Logan-Way too masculine.
HIS:
Anastacia-That's sort of neat. I love the nn options of Ana or Ani.
Lea(yes, like the princess!)-Actually, isn't the princess Leah? That spelling is much nicer. It's a lovely name.
Cassidy-That's not my favorite, but it's not bad. I really like Cassia.
Ripley-No.
Nico-I love this for a boy. If you must call your dd Nico though, what about Nicolet or Nicoletta nn Nico?
Scarlett or Rose-Those are both very pretty.
Hope this helps!

Assuming the OP was referring to Star Wars, the princess is Leia (LAY-a rather than LEE-a, as Leah is pronounced). ;)

LOL I went to a Christian school for thirteen years, so I can only see Leah as LEE-a (grew up with so many of them, not to mention the whole Biblical reference ). Lea I've heard as both a form of Leah (LEE-a) and LAY-a, although I could see it as "LEE" if it were a nn for something with a valid -lea ending. Lia is LEE-a to me as well, although I that one's very nn-ey in my mind (I'd immediately assume it was a nn for Amelia or some such -lia name). ;)
To the OP: The whole Princess Leia thing got me thinking ... you might like Lila(h), Leila or Layla. I don't think they were mentioned yet, but sorry for the repeat if they were.

I don't mind Anastacia. My DHs fav name is Nastassja. Guys must like the sound of stripper names because I think Nastassja sounds NASTY!
I don't like Nolan but Nola and Lanie are ...ok...
Don't like Bronwyn....but Winnie is cute.
Don't like Olive but Olivia is ...ok...
Hate Georgia
Paige is ok
Leia is nice
Cassidy, Ripley and Nico are boyish
Scarlett or Rose are pretty
Out of your list I would pick Leia Paige.
Other ideas....
Nicolette
Elaina
Windamere/Windemare
Genesis
Cassandra
Skye
Starlett
Grace
The actress Nastassja Kinski uses Nasty as a nn.
but I didn't know she actually used Nasty as a nn ....a nd likes it! LOL
