I don't like it because it sounds like a form of the word "coy" - coyer, as in "more coy."

Coy is never a word I would use to describe a guy.

I voted no because I don't think it's a name. I guess I am in the minority but I don't really like last names as first names nor made up names. It also doesn't even "sound" like it could be a name.

But don't listen to me...it's your choice! :)

I did some more thinking on the Coyer situation. What about Cuyler? It's an Avenue in Chicago :)

I suppose you could spell it Kuyler?

I voted that I like it, though I think you should tweek it. The Koyer spelling makes it look made up and feminine. If you choose this name I would spell it Coyer. I'm pretty sure that an elementary aged child will think to call him "Coy" and would hope that adults would be mature enough to stay away from this connection.
