Yes, this post is made mostly in fun....MOSTLY........

Due on the 16th and still no little one. My first 2 boys each came at least a week early and here I sit, still waiting. I know what it is, I kept saying how I ALWAYS have gone early, blah, blah, blah. It is now biting my in the, well, you know where.

So *just for fun*, anyone have any names that mean stubborn or anything close to it? As most of you know, DH and I are up in the air about names for this one, so maybe one of these ideas will be the one ;)

Alas, even if I don't have the baby by Thursday, my edd, and also when I next see my ob, if she offers that I be induced, I will still turn her down. I trully believe he will arrive when he is intened to arrive. Until then I will wait here!

Theresa

Oh--has anyone had any posts from Kelli lately?? I know she was getting close and I don't think I have seen any new posts from her in the past couple days!

Nope, still hanging in there! ;) Devanie's been sick (tummy trouble) and Jay's on vacation this week, so I'm only on once in a while and usually not for very long ... the posts just keep piling up! LOL

As to "stubborn" names, besides those already mentioned:

Antioco - Italian name derived from Antioch meaning stubborn; resistent (also Antioch)

Pitney/Pittney - Old English, from a place name meaning island of the stubborn one

Terrell/Tyrell - refers to a nn for a stubborn person

All I could find for now. Hope little stubborn makes his entrance soon! ;)

I don't have any names for you but I applaud you in your declining inducement. I agree that babies will come when they were meant to come. My 1st baby was 18 days late - I allowed the non-stress tests & biophysical profiles & baby & I were both perfectly healthy so I kept telling the doc "no" to inducing. Baby #2 was 1 day early. Baby #3 was 8 days late & baby #4 was 10 days late (had non-stress tests w/ #4 too & all was well in there). With each one (even the one who was a day early) I had to fend off eager docs who wanted to induce.

This is fun! I couldn't really find any good names that mean "stubborn" exactly, but here are some similar meanings.

Conner (much wanted, strong-willed)--- I thought this seemed appropriate
Conley (strong-willed or wise)

Good Luck!

Yaa, I think they alawys want to induce too early. Both boys prior were born early, and they offered to induce them even!!! He will get here when he gets here. He obviously is just not ready yet!

I was beginning to think you had that little one already! I would be jealous......

Sorry to hear about Devanie being sick, its so hard when they are sick, especially when you are pregnant.

Hang in there!

My Irish baby name book lists Aidan as fiery stubborn one....and it does seem to fit my Aidan. LOL

This time I am I am looking for a baby name that means peaceful calm sleeping child...

Thanks, Theresa. She seems to be feeling a bit better tonight, but still pretty "clingy," so definitely not 100% just yet. ;) Appreciate the thoughts!
