Name our Babies!

My dh and I are hoping to have a baby within the next 2 years. We are newlyweds and we aren't financially ready to become parents just yet, but hopefully we'll get there! Anyhow, if we have a daughter, I would like to honor my husband's grandmother as well as my own with our daughter's name. My dh's grandma's name starts with "E" & my grandmother's name starts with "K". We do not want to name her after them because their names are quite old-fashioned. However, we decided to have our daughter's first name start with "E" & have her middle name start with "K". We came up with the name Emily Kristina. We have a VERY common last name, so we don't have to worry about her name sounding peculiar. Then, the other day dh said he liked the name Galen (pronounced gay-lin). I had never heard of this name before, but I loved the way it sounded! I researched it and it is a Gaelic name that means "calm". Dh likes "unusual" names because his name is very common. I've always wanted to name my son Ryan Liam, but my dh despises the name Ryan. I chose Liam because it is very close to my dh's middle name and our son would have the same initials as his dad. Any suggestions? What do you think?
