How would you pronounce this name - Idalia?

What do you think of the name Idalia Eileen Anderson? Without even knowing how to say the first name I am finding it hard to know if this is a good sounding name or not! Please help!

I'd pronounce Idalia as Eye-da-LEE-AH. Idalia Eileen Anderson seems fairly singsongy to me so I'd probably nix Idalia. Too bad too, Idalia sounds pretty.

I would pronounce it Eye-DAY-lya. If that is correct, I don't care for both first and middle name starting with the same EYE sound. I think Eileen is a beautiful name, though. With a first name like Idalia, I think something very simple would have a nicer ring to it... like Idalia Jane, or Idalia Kate, Idalia Rae.

Found this:

Idalia
Gender: Girl
Pronunciation: eye-DAYL-yah
Origin: Greek
Meaning: "Behold the sun

I like Idalia Anderson, but not with Eileen, too much of the 'eye' sound.

I would say it "id-ahl-ya". It certainly looks very pretty, and if I'm right about the pronunciation it sounds very pretty too.

I would pronounce it like this:
eye-DAY-lee-ah

It's not such a bad name...just a wee bit long.

I've never even heard of it. it makes me think of a vidalia onion. So, that's how I would pronounce it. eye-daal-ya.

I think Dalia Eilieen is much prettier.

I'd pronounce it Eye - Dale - Yah

Sorry, but it reminds me too much of a vidalia onion.

ok so here is the story ..

my sister emailed my brother about his choice of name and here is what he said;
we have a neighbor who is an 80 year old lady who is very sweet and takes care of her 5 acres by herself, her name is Ida, so looking up Ida in the baby name book, the Italian version is Idalia. They pronounce it eye-duh-lee-a (the cadence of it is like pizzeria).

Still not sure if I like Idalia Eileen Anderson but Idalia is pretty on its own I guess. I just know it would never be a choice of mine. Thanks for all the help!
