TIA for any thoughts here :)

I like old fashioned sounding but different names so my first daughter has that kind of name. I want something complimentary using (possibly) a family name.

My 2 year olds name is Ada Rosemary. Rosemary was my husband's deceased grandmother.

I want another girl name that sounds good with Ada and possibly uses another form of one of my grandmother's names.

My grandmas were Ruth Anna and Erma Charlotte. Grandma never liked the name Erma but it's not too bad for a middle name...I kind of like Erma? What do you think?

Charlotte Ruth
Violet Ruth
Astrid Erma??
Annabel Ruth
Sonia Ruth
Enid Ruth
Ruth ???

Thanks for any ideas. I'm not even pregnant just thinking about it and I love thinking of names LOL! Also I certainly will not be offended if you don't like some or any of these names.

Since your DD has a family name only as a middle name, I would stick with that.

Some names I think match Ada in style:

Clara
Beatrice
Flora
Estelle
Hazel
Celia
Nola
Claudia
Dana
Helen
Deidra
Louise
Lorraine

Possible combos:

Claudia Ruth
Dana Charlotte
Celia Ruth
Beatrice Erma
Deidra Charlotte
Estelle Ruth

Of your choices, I like Violet and Sonia. I'm not crazy about Erma - except as a middle name.

Thanks! I really like Clara, Claudia and Celia. I hadn't thought of those names. They all sound good with Ruth as a middle name...I think I like Celia Ruth the best.

Hi there. Ada Rosemary is so sweet! Here are my thoughts on your list:

Charlotte Ruth-I like Charlotte a lot. It goes nicely w/Ada, but I will warn you that it's been popping up on the popularity rise a lot lately.

Violet Ruth-I love Violet! It may be a bit frilly w/Ada, but gorgeous name. I like Violet Anna a lot to honour your grandma.

Astrid Erma??-That's kind of neat. I don't know how well it goes w/Ada, but it doesn't not go either.

Annabel Ruth-Darling. It's also a tad frilly w/Ada, but that's not a big deal. I like Annabel Erma better though.

Sonia Ruth-That's one that you don't see everyday. Nice.

Enid Ruth-Hm, I don't know about Enid. I love the nn Edie, but would perfer Edith. What do you think of that? Edith Erma, because Edith Ruth is too 'th'y.

Ruth ???-This really isn't my style, but Ruth Annabel might be nice.

Hope this helps!

What about using Emma in place of Erma? Emma Ruth? I also like Annabel Ruth with Ada Rosemary!

Ada Rosemary is beautiful. Ruth for me doesn't go with either of those names at all. I'd cross it off the list right away. Maybe you can use Anna in combination with something else.

For example:

Liliana Charlotte

Good Luck!

Crystal
