Name that sounds good with 1st child

TIA for any thoughts here :)

I like old fashioned sounding but different names so my first daughter has that kind of name. I want something complimentary using (possibly) a family name.

My 2 year olds name is Ada Rosemary. Rosemary was my husband's deceased grandmother.

I want another girl name that sounds good with Ada and possibly uses another form of one of my grandmother's names.

My grandmas were Ruth Anna and Erma Charlotte. Grandma never liked the name Erma but it's not too bad for a middle name...I kind of like Erma? What do you think?

Charlotte Ruth
Violet Ruth
Astrid Erma??
Annabel Ruth
Sonia Ruth
Enid Ruth
Ruth ???

Thanks for any ideas. I'm not even pregnant just thinking about it and I love thinking of names LOL! Also I certainly will not be offended if you don't like some or any of these names.

Thanks for the feedback and for the nice words re: Ada's name!

I really like Violet...I'm trying to stay away from names in the top 100 or so. I like names that are not used much but still nice. Somewhat classic, too.

I like Astrid quite a bit as well. I think it may be used more in Europe than here. My sister has a great friend from Denmark with that name. She is in her early 30s.

For me boy names are more challenging! What are your top 5 favorites? (what do you think of Rohan/Rowan for a boy?)

Thanks! Emma Ruth is adorable. My best friend has an Emma, though and so it is not a good choice for me! I like Annabel Ruth, too. I was thinking of Annalise now. I think that is nice.

Thanks for the feedback. I like your Liliana idea. That is beautiful.

I really like Annabel. I think it sounds very sweet. Annie is a cute nn. Have you considered Scarlett, Cora, or Ruby?

I'm glad that you like Violet. It's not anywhere near the top 100 right now (400 or 500 something, I believe), but for some reason I just worry about it jumping up soon. I wouldn't let it discourage you though if you really love it.

I like Rowan a lot for a boy. Rowan looks nicer than Rohan, imo. The H looks sort of akward. You want to know my top five boy names period? Oh boy! Okay, here we go...

William

Matthew

Justin

Julian

Luca

And here are my top five not including my ds' names (William, Matthew, & Justin)-

Julian

Luca

Finn

Gerard

Milo

Julian, Gerard, & Milo seem like they'd fit nicely w/Ada. Julian is sadley in the top 100 though. Milo is I think 500 something, & Gerard isn't even in the top 1,000.

Hope this helps!

Gosh I really like Ruth as a first name, especially w/ big sis Ada. I would root for Violet Ruth too. Sounds so cute w/ Ada!

GL TTC! :)
