Name Suggestions to go with Eden?

I'm just trying to think ahead a little bit and would like to get your feedback about boy's names. DH and I were pretty set on Lorelei for a girl and Ethan for a boy. However, now we're leaning toward Eden for a girl and that means Ethan is a no-go (way too close to Eden, obviously). Would any of these sib names go well with Eden? Other suggestions are more than welcome! For some reason, it is much easier for me to come up with great girl's names than it is boy's. FYI, Husband tends to go for more traditional or Biblical names for boys.

Zachary
Noah
Gabriel
Christian
Maxwell
Anthony

P.S.
Now I'm starting to think Biblical names might be a little too matchy. Any other suggestions (non-Biblical) would be welcome!

What do you think about Zachary (Zach). I forgot this was also on our list, but I didn't put it on my original post.

I like Zachary and Gabriel a lot with Eden! Actually, we have friends with DS Gabriel, and Eden is high on their list for girls.

Others that I think would be nice w/ Eden:
Micah
Malachi
Marcus
Titus
Saul
Solomon
Paul

These all have the Biblical connection but are less common than Matthew, John, James, etc.

Gabriel seems like your best bet from that list (especially if you'd shorten it to Gabe ... Eden and Gabe just work for me for some reason ), but many of the others give Eden that trendy feel I know you were concerned about. You already know my image of Eden is contextual, so I won't go into more detail. LOL

Noah would be an ok match otherwise, but it's much too popular with religious parents at the moment, so the sib set just seems overwhelmingly trendy. Also, it's kind of a mixing of genres, if you KWIM, since Noah is so associated with the Biblical character (unlike some other Biblical names that are more mainstream, like Gabriel, and less likely to be pigeonholed). Eden and Noah just bring to mind a terribly-flooded garden. ;)

Some of these might still work with Lorelei and Eden (or Eden and Lorelei, if you used Eden now and then had another girl), since being paired with Lorelei was what brought Eden up to a higher level in my mind. Max, for example, always has a bit of a German feel to me, so basically Lorelei would help both Eden and Max(well) make sense together, whereas Eden and Maxwell alone just sound like very trendy choices (Max names in general being rather popular/trendy at the moment, and not really of the same Biblical/natural style as Eden, despite the well/stream reference, since most are unaware of it).

Hope all of that made sense, somehow, and sorry so long! ;)

I LOVE Christian but think Gabriel or Noah might go better w/ Eden.

So my preferences would be-
1-Gabriel
2-Noah
3-Christian

What about non-Biblical names that might go with Eden? I'm starting to feel like maybe the whole Biblical thing is a little too matchy (like we're trying too hard), and I'm not ecstatic over any one name in particular. Do you have any suggestions for other names (non-Biblical) that would go well with Eden? Why are boys' names so much harder to choose???

I like Zachary and Gabriel with Eden. Other traditional names that sound good are Isaac, Thomas, Luke, Seth, and William nn Liam. I really like the idea of Eden and Liam.

Here are some more names that might work:
Beckett
Colin
Declan
Griffin, nn Finn
Graham
Quentin
Sean
Spencer
Oliver
Henry
Harris
Jonas
Jude
Xander
Baxter
Brent
Carter
Con(n)or
Cormac
Dalton
Dashiell
Davis
Dominic
Hudson
Weston

Good luck,
Brooke

Why not look for some other mythological or nature type names (which would further tie Eden and Lorelei together, as well)?

Alton
Alberic(h)
Remiel (Remi's a cool nn)
Rowan
Asher, nn Ash (Ashton makes Eden appear more trendy, but this works)
Oisin/Ossian
Oscar
Rio
Nash
Oren
Perry
Narcissus (nn Cisco? )
Lincoln
Lachlan
Marlowe
Heath
Clyde
Conway
Monroe
Hawthorne
Miller

Not all you'd necessarily use, but you get the idea. ;)
