"Lee" means "Meadow," which is a nice name, if the Soprano's connection doesn't bother you.

I found a loong list of other names containing "meadow" in the meaning (many also containing the "Lee" sound at http://www.babynamesworld.com/ by doing an advanced search by meaning.

My favorites were Adelie, meaning "noble meadow", and Ainsley meaning "my meadow"

hello!! heres a few that come to mind:
lorelei(but i think this is pronounced lor-ah-lie...but you could do loralee)
leah(spelled a number of ways-pronounced lee-ah)
haylee
natalee
or
kaylee.
(im not crazy about these spellings, but if you want to honor your friend-you can spell them this way)
i also know a woman named dawndelee-ive always thought her name sounded very interested-and i knew another named leelee. you could also use lee as a middle name too-it makes a very good middle name-cuz it tends to "flow" well with other names. good luck!!
