I love Lane or Laney for a girl, but I don't want to put that on a birth certificate. I was hoping people could think of names that Lane or Laney could be short for. Thanks.

Hi!

Just thought I'd add my two cents... :)

My name is Elaine, and I am often called Lane and Laney. There is also the option of Elly or Ela is she doesn't like Laney later! :)

Good Luck!

I love the name Laney/Layne too...you could use Alayna/Alaina for the given name. I am actually considering this name too!! Good luck!
